~A Wellspring of Words~

A blur of gauze
drifts through the mist
unguided and yet, on course
drizzling to it's own music
looking for hope
and for love

mountains of feelings
supported by rocks
will tumble to fate
if allowed
spraying the hurt into trickles
to cool the soul of it's rage

a wellspring of words
lives in the heart
walking through thought
and wearing the tune that sings
the feelings of colors
of bliss

pinwheels of emotion
whirling together
this delicate dance of the truth
of brain and of heart
of think and emote
of words and of image
which brings poetry into our lives
~

The more we write, the more I know it is not easy to emote that deepest sensation...and the harder we try...

however, YOU make it look so very, very easy!

You do have a way with those words...might I suggest trying a larger font because of the type here?

We are all this and yet we grasp for more.
Your words make me realize how many demenisions of life we live. How we are so fragil on the inside waitng to be moved, afraid to be discovered on the surface that we might give away our hidden jewels. I love your poetry. This is quite different from the ones I have read in the past. I like it very, very much.

Thanks so much, Karilea...
That is an awesome compliment, but its probably just because I wear my heart on my sleeve and therefore its easier for me to reach for my emotions.

Thanks so much, Martin...
and also thanks for the suggestion about the fonts.  I usually make them bigger, but since I got my glasses...I feel like I can see so much better, and I've been experimenting with different sizes and styles of fonts.

Lyra, these were some great 'words' you put together in this write. WOW! You always manage to put so much feeling and emotion into your poems. Very, very impressive.

I am a rock collector and these words just sent shivers up my spine...

...'mountains of feelings
supported by rocks
will tumble to fate
if allowed...'

Love it so much. Hugs, Marti
