A Cup of Tea

It is a long day's work
Where is the moon
To soothe this tired soul
Sun do not come too soon

Spinning without control
Turning around to late to see
The graying of the hair
Somehow appeared when I was not there

The lines of time have no mercy
They do not spare even the closest of friends
The pace is set and we burn from inside
It is all much to fast, this struggle to survive

Leaves me wondering if the exchange was fair
Perhaps, it would have been more nourshing
to hunt for berries, chop for wood and trade
with the doctor for some eggs and a cup of tea

Well and here you ask that I not come too soon and here I am...Welcome to Passions!  We've been told that you would stop by!  Please, check your e-mail for a special greeting!

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

I love your portrayal of aging here, Electra.
I have hunted for words to express exactly what you have written so very beautifully in this poem.

Welcome to Passions, Electra...and I am so proud to have you as one of my Passions sisters.

~ great big welcoming hugs
