Puddlin' dip, dip shake, shake shimmer, shimmer, quake, quake finches in a puddle clear up to their muddle making quite a huddle bathing for the day wiggle, wiggle squiggle, squiggle oh my, their bodies jiggle as they bathe away lap up sun till they’re done oh, what fun! won’t you come to see them all at play? delightfully they dance as fairies in a trance Arabians in prance they set my heart asway. they start the morn so early when grouchy men are surly with jiggles in their hips and giggles on their lips they begin this summer day they’re setting an example their energies are ample they’re giving me a sample of life that’s truly gay no I don’t mean it quite that way ©July 20, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
