Today I think I felt it for the first time, the depth of now. Streamlined words, finally reaching the distance between, unmasking the tape that held together my pages of why, mind fingered daily, the edges dusted with hope. That's how I felt, sharing innermost thoughts, feeling your hand in mine across the miles. My heart rests its beat, the rhythm of you left over from my morning needs, caressing it to still. I walked out into the rain, wanting to feel its touch, letting the cool, mix with my warmth, leaving the drops of moisture to soak my spirit with the knowledge that you can see me, the excitement noticeable when your eyes touch that part of me. The end is nearing, this day of now. A breeze is surrendering, the scent of vanilla surrounding my thoughts as I wait to relive the untold truth that has conquered these lips that taste the sweetness of a moment of you. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |
