Listening to every heart

                         The Invisible Line

                         There is this,
a raison d'être, to be where,
where one may think they do not belong,
                         perhaps so,
                         perhaps so,

                         sings the indiscernible voice
                         song of inscrutable choice

                         but it is to cross
                         that invisible line

                         invisible line

                         the one placed there,
                         in one’s mind

and I stood where upper echelon live
who aspired higher than I could give
capturing words come through the sieve

to hear again what once before
was said to me as by implore
                         travel on through any door.

By a voice of one whose strengths
has taken her to many lengths,
I stood and felt I now belong
                         sings indiscernible voice of song
in this land of invisible line,
if only and even in my mind,

for she brought up words from my own past,
brought them up in ways that last
to take my worth, and value, true,
to cast my dreams beyond the blue

and steadfast, I took that deep slow breath,
the one that tells me what I have left
to make a decision, to spill the quill
without derision, to fulfill my will

                                                ~*~

now I, now I shall skim the breeze
with this inner sense of ease
that all shall be as was before
when first I traveled through the door

and travel far, and long, and wide
to cross this invisible line inside

                                                ~*~

Karilea

This is full of beauty and power...yet so soft and fragile feeling, a muscle full of grace.  Wish I had written this!!!

Just read your critique signature and though it is not the first time I read that "one" today, I find it funny that you want us to teach you when you are so far above most of our levels.  Not intended to offend...just pointing out what "I" thought when "I" read it.  Beautiful as always.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, I love this, sweet friend, I am not familiar with the works of Wilma P. Mankiller but I am intrigued after reading this marvelous and crisp expression from your heart! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, later I am going to type that name into Google and find out more about her, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Loner...thanks so much for the read...

Charisma...where have you been keeping yourself, anyway?  So good to see your name in the blue pages again...thanks for reading...

Sven, hold the mirror up, sir...I'm trying to keep up with you!...

Martie...a muscle full of grace? Now there is a metaphor that I wish I had thought of...thank you m'dear...truly, in taking the opportunity to see this amazing woman today, in listening to the underlying messages she did not know she was giving me, allowed some new direction in my mind to open up and say "why not?"....thank you, m'dear, for peeking in, and for giving in your way the encouragement as you have to do what I need to do...

Not so funny, Mark, as I will always be learning, and of course I know you know that...I still have a long way to go, and another fifty or so years to get "there"...thanks for the eyes, cowboy...and keep teaching, okay?...

No, ethome, I am the klutzy one of our crowd...you can't take that crown off my head, it's stuck tight...but deep?  I hope so...I was reaching for this one, and I think you helped pull it out...write on, e-poet...

Enchantress...thank you...for everything...

Noah, your horizons will widen if you follow through and read up on this woman and her culture, and all that she has brought to so many....good man!  Thank you!

It is when you dig way down inside that these gems are found, and when you do find them they sparkle like no diamond I have ever seen.  Why not indeed!  Have I mentioned lately that I just love you to bits?  karilea, this is without a doubt meant to give a message for those who will take the time to listen as you whisper the reason to be is in the living!

Nothing means more to me than faith,
family and my friends.

Im sooo glad I didnt miss this one...
this is lovely Sun...and yes...deep...
deep from the place where the muse breathes and from the place where inspiration sustains us.
I love the phrasing and word play in this...
the way you carried out the whole theme to the perfect ending thought.
very cool pick too
beautiful write of muse and heart K.

How she loves me, I dont understand
If time wont change me, perhaps she can
And I feel her trying when were apart
God dont let me break her heart

This is simply superb, Sunshine... and touches me deeply in so many ways. *S* It leaves me grateful for all those who won't stay held back... and by stepping forth, become inspirations. *S* Lovely work!
