not as harps

as the wind of starlight
that flows in the universe
speaking
          (as if this was
                     like speech in any way)
           the mind and the heart
hearing
          (as if this was
                     like listening in any way)
           the planes of the soul

not as choirs

as the rays of sunlight
that reach across the land
touching
          (but not with any kind
                     of a hand)
           the skin of the life
seeing
          (but not with any kind
                     of an eye)
           the face of eternity

hearing in a Divine language that few know
but that all understand
the tonal language of thought
the atonal language of feeling

a place where






is as good as time
              (and better comprehended)

one also finds that
       the wings
          don't
       beat the air
as much as
       they are
            the air

(smiles) Oh my gosh, I couldn't agree with you more, sweet friend, when one truly does listen one has to find grace in gravity and be down to earth at the same time and to lever wings like that is how we be attentive! you know, I almost cringed when I read the word "angelic" in the title, since most all "angel" poems are the same these days. I admit it. LOL! I feel ashamed! I definetely should have known better than to cringe at the title when the Sven Pen is behind the work. *sigh* This was lovely, Sweet Man. Truly.

I was just thinking the other day. . . how some people can hear better than most. . . and, how some can hear so well. . . they can hear the songs of angels. . . but, not like you would think. . .they can hear with their being. . . just like you and I can hear with our ears. . . wish that I could do that. . .

this one I like a lot. . . especially the line break idea. . . thanks faterider for enjoying it so much, I wasn't sure how it would go over. . . but, you're proving to me that I need to listen to those voices. . .

and Irie, no. . .not all listen. . .but, in some cases, do we really want those people to hear???
