I think I saw a hawk today watching sparrows chirp and clack. It’s breast and head were pigeon gray, it’s wings and eyes were killer black. I seldom see a bird of prey; I wonder if it’s coming back. Nan(Pilgrim variety) |

Nan, a good write. There is more truth to your thought than you want to know... |

Nan, I love watching birds, but we mostly get galahs - colourful but noisy. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

(smiles) Oh Nancy, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I am so blessed to get many birds where I live near the mountains like flickers and sparrows and stellar jays, they are such a delight to my day! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! A nice little birdie poem, Nan... As everybody knows hawks eat chipmunks so perky but take one bite of this one and you'll turn into a turkey ~ chipmunk hugs Lyra |

Lynn, we're in an arid region, and we get a lot of different kinds of gray and brown birds, nothing showy at all. There is one yellow-bellied bird living in the park that I've noticed. These are different, some kind of raptor. I'm sure they're just passing through. Noah, Thank you so much for reading and replying. I envy you the variety of birds you have. Lyra, Hah! That's a great turkey! You always have a picture for everything. Nan(Pilgrim variety) |

Very nice write. My children caught a couple of small sparrows the other day that could not fly. We gave them bread and water, placed them in an open cardboard box, and put them and the box like a nest up in our front yard tree, and the next day we went out to check on them and they were gone. My son says he sees them flying about the yard. It is kind of a nice feeling to do a small kind deed for nature. Thanks for sharing this cute poem about birdwatching. -Bob |

Hi, Bob, that's a good thing you did. I like to watch the birds and animals we have around. They're fascinating. Nan(Pilgrim variety) |
