I hear his knock upon my door
It makes me wish for so much more
a page turned back, twas just a peek
of what we were, and what I seek.

His knock is light, then goes away
to leave me hopeless one more day
his hand could open heavens gate
instead I sit in hell, and wait.

The give and take of this
leaves one wanting more of less...
waiting, that is...

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sandra, I understand your loneliness and your tears and I know that I have said it so much already but with a loving heart like yours you are destined to hear that knocking on your hearts door soon and your love will be standing there with flowers of dreams and a smile to always warm your heart! (sigh) My thoughts are with you as always, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Perhaps a door of your own to knock on would ease the wait ....
Don't knock it 'til you have tried it!

I can feel both the want of something past as well as anticipation for something new ...
.. well done!

At least you get a knock, I've got a lock on my door...well said, Sandra, you know I feel this.

Take care,

There has to be a follow up on this.

Where once a lonely heart did dwell
In this place called hell
True love now lives
All is well
Enjoyed the poem... Paul

Enjoy your work, cat, and was compelled to respond this time . . .

Perhaps you'll listen evermore
for his return through your door
but it's the past you listen to
and from this prison what to do?

It may be best to seek parole
and on the outside find new role
if you've paid for crimes committed
think ahead   new life permitted

like Krawdad's reply to you..turning a new leaf as it were, oil the hinges, slip in the magic key as Alice did and go on your way out of hell's predicament..nicely done

An echo from the past, will doubtless ne'er last. Wait for an unfamiliar rap and leave behind proven hurt's crap.

Dear Sandra, yet another sad read. Inspired this response.

I hear a knock; it’s different and a voice that calls my name
The past that haunts my hearts escape is fighting to remain
But something lights the passage as I run to meet my peace
It lies not in my mind this time, dear God I’ve found release

The flutter of excitement as the door does open free
A smile of love before me on an angel I can see
Heavens gate now open, to a future made for two
In hell I sit no longer and at last my love is new

Sincerely Rick

Good luck and keep up the good writing.
