The Avow I remember that first declaration in the shifting sound of “I love you” as if a child held her ahhh peeking in at Christmas or a babe’s intake of gasp when his puppy licks his face as serene silence shimmers, thereafter, with a hush of want before you eyes seeking an answer in twilighted depths of blue as glimpsed from pools of ocean green a glimmer, then, to touch as sky meets sea that thinnest line of shifting sound in the thump beat breath smile of I love you. |
