it shouldn’t be this much fun
it shouldn’t have come this far
it shouldn’t be why I wake
or how I rock myself to sleep
it shouldn’t be

it’s love, afterall
it never works out
it shouldn’t be

yet
you sleep
here beside me

This is such a good feeling poem, Duncan...
You sound very happy...
and I am happy for you.

When I get too happy and things seem to go too perfectly, I always get slapped down by something horrible.....

Waking to you…you’re poetry…what more could a girl ask for (okay, so it’s not morning now..but it was when I first read this!! Lol)
