Cold sheets A fitful night filled with raging tears screams of anguish, anger torrents of agony, waves of loneliness. All spent crumbled into the past blowing away as dust just above the place where we consummated our vows. And now it is only the place where the sheets are more knotted than the ties of our promise and even amid the heat and pain of angst, they grow cold and bind no more than the fate of the future. ©July 8, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
