A quiet honesty resides in the spirit of his words.
There is the portrait of a man who cannot brag of perfection
yet
he stands in front of your firing squad eyes
lingering there only to let you see what your imprisonment of him
is costing you.
His eyes are downward in an attempt not to burn you.
The sting of his anger
is driven by your incessant denial
that love has indeed abandoned the house of two;
and you have been rotting
finding too much false solace
in the stench of a ghost.

I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement.

oh Jen, power packed words.  You are writing so poignantly lately, I wish I could give you a big ole hug.  Hope you are ok sweetie, but keep writing it out. It is therapy for the soul.  Hugs.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Is the condemned not offered a blindfold? Are the blind not condemned? Powerful

Very deep thoughts shared here, Temptress.  Yes, one should not hold on for the sake of doing so, unless there is a possibility of retaining the heart.  Liked it!!

not all mirrors can reflect
an image that is true
any slight imperfection in the glass
can greatly distort
an expected result

there is pain and beauty
in your words of thought, Temptress
