Why is their so much hate in love? That strikes terror in a raised fist In words that scream passion for abuse Leaving blood stains that dry inside Scars that cut so deep You exist as someone else Taking an identity of a slave in bondage So special of a relationship That the ring that binds two Is the noose that hangs the other A flower so small it should not matter For it is so insignificant Almost a weed in its thorns Yet it is cultivated and pruned Its thorns are sharpened like razor blades Awaiting the prick that it will slay with Putting them to sleep in a hallucinogenic maze Of their own undoing Sending them into an imprisonment of reruns The nightmare face of abuse Its image is mirrored in them In the screams that chills the insides Caught almost like in a spider web Sucking their life’s purpose out in large doses Leaving little else but morphine needs For the pain now is in the other corner For the addiction is for the prick Of a cognizant conscious So the thorns that created the spell Were once worn by someone else Who suffered for the hands of all humanity And whose tears now addict us in faith The venom He has created has spread like wildfires In the winds of time creating wildflowers On barren terrain He has created sunflowers That lives in the wide open spaces in such sunburn That its intensity is a blistering windburn Creating His magic kingdom of windflower fireflies So the abused now champions the master For the noose has shifted tides So in faith you have create your garden As two reunify in the faith of one And the thorns no longer needs the pricks For the rose garden has gone full circle In the aromatic flagrance of His love Blossoming all over the universe Thought: This is written for those special flowers that live in abusive terrains, that they be cultivated in the love and tender care within the nourishment of a self made paradise. Added Thought: If the abused could receive the same treatment but ten times over. Then the reality of changing would drive them around to realize what they were doing.
