Isolation Blue In a distant world of darkness far from the home town girl in the midst of foreign oceans there's a lonely soldier's world where the pen of love stops talking when a promise turns untrue and far away there's isolation blue Chorus: Memoirs of pages filled with passion tear stained letters in pockets full of truth dreams inked on promise after action a river of words in isolation blue There's night skies lacking moonlight when a lover loses face and a soldier can get buried in the dirt inside his veins and the chapters of defeat are written with ancient rules and far away there's isolation blue. There's a lover's fire an old desire a distant fading flame where wayward winds keep blowing cross an icy memory lane and the brightest leaves of Autumn become colors of the truth and far away there's isolation blue. Memoirs of pages filled with passion tear stained letters in pockets full of truth dreams inked on promise after action a river of words in isolation blue. The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

"isolation blue" ..... is that anything like "Melancholia"? Lets ask Van Write on me poet pal... you rock me in your roll We wish ourselves beautiful ... and cry in the night. Its not the love you fear ... but the fall from the height. E. McCain [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (07-02-2002 07:40 AM).] |

There's a lover's fire an old desire a distant fading flame where wayward winds keep blowing cross an icy memory lane and the brightest leaves of Autumn become colors of the truth and far away there's isolation blue. ================================= And you say that I have unique images. This whole verse screams of a portrait painted from a pallete of "Blues". I'll just bet your guitar is begging to play the chords to this one. Superb in every way from the first verse on down. I applaud you. |
