Encourage Me By Larry Chadwick Written for a friend from a woman’s perspective. I knew exactly what he wanted, He made it very clear. It wasn’t his power of persuasion, For which I conceded to my dear. It’s just that he persisted, In compelling me to compromise. I went against my better judgement, And knew it wasn’t very wise. I always dreamed it would be love, And not some negotiated transaction. But he would take it anyway he could, As long as there was satisfaction. I gave it up to silence him, It wasn’t even all that good. Regrets are all that’s left, I’d stop it if I could. If someone would encourage me, Perhaps I’d have the will. I want to do what’s right, And have the desire still. July 1, 2002 Show you care to those you love...today. |

It's really not that difficult To simply say, "No!" It's really not a gross insult. I don't wanna go. From another woman's perspective... Shenachie |

Larry, You have wrote about something here that I could say a whole lot about. But, it is probably better that I don't. And, you did this very well. Thank you for being the kind of guy you are. Oh by the way! Can I adopt you as my big brother? LOL! |

Hi Larry I'm glad I was eventually able to say "see ya later mate" before it was too late. Thank god those days are over for me....this brought back memories Larry which I'd rather forget but so glad I read as it did make me think how lucky I am to have been strong, especially at a young and tender age. ~HUGS~ Tracie Love is the life of the soul... |

There are times when it seems they have a hard time understanding no even after its been said a few times, but No always means No. As for the regrets side of it, we learn by our mistakes, and we continue living. Well done hon. Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal. |

Shenachie, Maybe for a woman but our adolescence aren't that skilled at it. Thanks. Sue, Your welcome and certainly. Tough subject I know but important. Thanks. Tracie, That's true for many of us who will never admit it. Thanks so much. Donna, That's how it should be anyway. Thanks a bunch. Show you care to those you love...today. |
