Hanalei Sun Each morning breaks the same, the moon sinking with something amiss, palms all wrong against brownish hills, an ache that won’t be sent home. No softness in this Southern dawn, where rain is rare as diamonds, and rivers are doomed to be dammed, locked into concrete oceans. There are her dreams, though, of emerald valleys fused to a pikake necklace, adorning the neck of Hanalei Sun. Then, she stands on home shores, embracing trade winds to claim the rains. © 2002 Corinne Bailey (A re-write of a 2000 poem) [This message has been edited by Corinne (06-11-2002 09:56 PM).] |

Dang, girl! So I close down the computer on a gem... as the rainstorms bring in your diamonds... |

(smiles) Wow, I just love the style of your voice, sweet friend, rain is so very rare here in Colorado too, we've had all these depressing wildfires here and I yearn for more rain to fall! (kiss on cheek) This is soooooo wonderfully detailed, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Shakira [This message has been edited by Mistletoe Angel (06-17-2002 07:18 PM).] |

I know that nature speaks to you in ways that I could only begin to understand. . . excellent. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

It's as hard for dreams of lushness to persist in a drought as it is for hope to survive in despair... I like this very much, Corinne! |
