They rise and fall as wing-beats on the breeze, such notes in gentle cadence it would seem, conducted by an other-worldly being, had woven them to this, my waking dream. The muted wood-winds flute is softly heard, now once again to traipse imagined verde, its' voice is that of myriad smaller birds, companions in this song that has no words. The drum of partridge sounds a tympani, as insects string their notes in harmony. A gentle flow of water spilling free in vibrant pool, the fool I've been, now sees... The image of a traveller, tired, who longs to once again become part of the song. |

Sunshine, No, my thanks to you. I am among the displaced. Perhaps part of the penance for being who I am. My connection to this world is yet to be complete. I see the artificial, which I embrace, yet, long for what's been lost in its' pursuit. Given enough time, I may be able to reconcile these opposing forces. I do fear, however, that once this happens, I will no longer write. Thanks again for indulging me. Doc |

I don't know that we would want a world, quit of your voice... keep writing while you search, Doc... we need your voice and your wisdom |

I hope you'll find what seems lost, but don't you dare to stop writing ever! I'll send Red into "bewilderment" to haunt you! Geesh, that by itself should be enough to keep writing. Enjoyed this much Doc. |

Elan, Thank you. I get kind of maudlin at times. Feeling as if I'm so wrapped up in the pace of things that I'm missing what's truly important. Doc Munda, Thank you my friend. No need to send "Red" out just yet, although she's welcome to drop by anytime, as are you. Doc suthern, Thanks, I've got a little shack about three miles from nowhere, right next to nobody. I think it's about time I got back up there for some R&R.Thanks again. Doc |
