Merry-Go-Muses ~*Marge Tindal*~ There they were out on the lawn Merry-Go-Muses by the garden gate Peeking from 'neath the daffodils Surely there they congregate~ Camilla my muse of nature relentless in her calling Meona catches my teardrops as they are gently falling~ Destin calls forth the history of the way things used to be While Sasha pours the ink of loving family~ Callie pens my heart in rush of mush sublime While Cassandra holds the bluesy notes of my versing rhyme~ Mona shouldn't be here she's usually in the car But I think that Poppie's laughter has brought her from afar~ Kirstin writes the carefree days of rocking to the high school beat While Leandra finds the ink of intrigue to let me know her needs~ SkyeLara hears the voices of ancient Cherokee Gifts me with the vision of my Native poetry~ Felicity Dela Marcaesa stands in quiet compose Just behind the blooming of the perfect yellow rose Ayrasela mystifies me in poetic rhyme seeing things I do not see ... she does it every time~ Jannae dances the rhythm, past the melody Blesaka has just come ... to see what the others bring I think this garden party ... is the cat's meow with Sliter, Twiter and Tambra responsible somehow~ Okay, so now they've found me on the porch in swings' recline But they just won't let me get any rest this time~ So I rush to release them Dip of quill in blazing ink Merry-Go-Muses have me dizzy Not hard for a blonde, I think~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Beautiful names guide your pen... lend me a muse, then again... perhaps I should name a few of my own but names are elusive outside my poems... |

Margie girl darling heart sister and bringer of the sun’s light this is absolutely beautiful your writing content and style consistently superb and this is as always absolutely perfect. You r writing always brings me the feeling that my soul has been washed by your wondrous words of beauty. Your muses frolic in joyous delight tell them one and all how much I love each of their gifts to you, for no one does it like you darling heart, combines beauty and creativity with such style and grace. For lifting my spirits when they are down For giving me a smile when I want to frown For taking my hand when I need a friend For being there always until the end For showing me the way when I am lost For taking the time never counting cost For all this and more I say thank you For being a friend who sees me through Marsha Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

I smiled through this whole poem. Congratulations my friend, it is just fabulously delicious. You are indeed blessed to have soooo many friends to guide you through each word, each line. And don't they keep you busy, especially when you are supposed to be resting on the porch. I wish SkyeLara and I could be friends. Hugs to you all - Marti |

Marge, Now I know how you can write in such a wide range of forms and feelings. Most of us are lucky to get one muse part time and you have a herd of them waiting their turn. All I can say is their time is well spent with you. Opening one of your poems is like seeing the world through different color glasses every day. You feed your muses well and cherish them. I know they can be a pain sometimes, putting seeds in your head that must bare fruit on paper or your head will pop. This is a lovely tribute to these little rascals. Dan Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream. [This message has been edited by The Rusty Knight (06-30-2002 03:35 PM).] |

Marge: with eighteen muses trying to get your attention, no wonder you write more poems than anybody I've ever known. (I still think you don't sleep!) Betty Lou Hebert |

ROFL @ the ending and remembering the L'Oreal tribe's gatherings at the drug store. LOL I can't keep up with their names... except for a few favorites I won't mention (don't want to make the others jealous *G*) since you already KNOW. *S* But I do appreciate your mob of muses and hope they continue to demand your attention. *G* (You get the nagging and the work, we get the gifts... sounds fair to me. LOL) This is delightful, Marge. *S* |
