I said I'd love you like no other love
and you believed it true.
You fell for it so quick I thought
I'd grown an inch or two.
Those nights I took you to the stars
I set no lies aside.
How could I be so hard of heart
with your eyes so open wide.

Your heart was on my butcher block
and I looked the other way.
I cut you deep an down a lot
you stayed around the same.
My mind was out and run around
I missed your open soul.
And though I lied about your loss
I cried to see you go.

Well here I am deep in thought
and blessed with inner shame.
Cause no one else can fill your spot
and tommorrow is today.
Sometimes I cry to heal my pride
when my feelings get me down
I fooled myself with all the lies
and my heart's gone underground.

My father had a daughter and everyone was suprised!
