Yea, though I walk through the valley- I tell you I never know fear... I'm armed, and consider me dangerous... If you should encounter me here. This world is a jungle, I grant you... And predators prowl all our streets... He'd best pass me by, or be willing to die- If this wolf with that jackal meets. Boastful? Perhaps you believe it- But I've often gone in harm's way... And so far survived, some say I have thrived For I am still living today. I've served my stint for Old Glory- My heart fills with pride as she waves... I've comrades who long have been sleeping, For her sake in cold lonely graves. Fear? I could never afford it- The same I could say of true love... But liberty, man, I've adored it... As witnessed by God up above. Religious? I'm not, no not really- A believer? I must say I am... I believe an accounting is coming... Alike, for the just, and the damned. |

Judgement has come ... One man of this world shall bring vengence - The guilty punished, the innoscent redeamed ... Loved your poem, truly inspiring, also not religeous myself, but I do believe one day everyone will be accounted and judged . I especially like the image you built up in ... 'This world is a jungle, I grant you... And predators prowl all our streets... He'd best pass me by, or be willing to die- If this wolf with that jackal meets.' ...One of the single best verses I've ever read . Fantastic read . L.of.L. Tom . XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 'There is only a very thin line between genius and insanity, this is measured only on sucess; I am proud to be considered an under-achieving genius'.
