Concrete Steps I searched through a hundred crowds to find one familiar face the reflection of my soul that realities fingers could trace and in the smiles of many it just was not found so I sat upon concrete steps going neither up nor down for I have walked flat footed on asphalt hot until I settled down to one cool concrete spot and here is where I shall firmly sit as parade passes by for in the faint moonlight I have heard an echo of my heart in reply "The heart is the toughest part of the body, tenderness is in the hands."
