. . . I just can't figure one out. Hey, I'm writing a poem about a woman in my life, and in another poem I saw online the author described his girlfriend as having "eyes that hold midnight." Unfortunately, my girlfriand has these beautiful light blue eyes, so midnight probably wouldn't cut it in the peom I'm writing about her. I need some suggestions on what comparison I could draw to her eyes that fits in the following sentence "eyes that hold ____." I've brainstormed quite a bit on this question, but so far, these were the only things i think of to compare her too: Eyes that hold the crystal sea Eyes that hold the flection of the sun on the crystal sea Eyes that enshrine the blooming of the desert bluebell Now you can see why I could really use the help. Eyes that hold the brightness of the day??? Eyes that surpass the soft blue of the sky??? I can see why you had trouble with it!!! Here's a few suggestions: Eyes that hold my hearts desire. Eyes that hold my life's dream. Eyes that brighten the days of sorrow. Not really sure, but they're just suggestions. If I can think of anything that sounds really good, I'll let you know. |

Okay this is something that i wrote for a guy a while ago and it has a brief description of the eyes "your eyes, the light blue euphoria that they are, appear to light up even brighter, a secret constellation, more beautiful than any other. I can see them from across the room, luminous, holy, untainted." don't know if that's what you're looking for, or whatever, but that's all i've got |

It's not what's "in" her eyes that should be the subject of your query. It's the wonder of how she sees "you" thru her eyes that makes them so irrestible. She sees the best in you.. she is your mirror.. (smile) so now.. go write THAT! |
