A friend of mine who is expecting her first baby showed me a poem that she had written. It was titled with the baby-to-be's name, and was written "about" this future baby. I loved this idea. The challenge, (for parents or future parents, though I originally intended this to be for people who do not yet have children) is to write a poem about or for your future baby. Talk about anything but this is meant to be a sentimental peice. Anyways, just an idea..I thought it was cute =) Please try it! Tai |

I've written PLENTY from before my daughter was born (ten months now) so lemme get to diggin and I'll see what I can find. This really is a cute idea..I've been doing a scrapbook/babybook for my daughter...and included all my poems for her and all that mushy stuff...so yah....here we go!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

I wrote one before when I thought I was pregnant. Being 17 years old obviously it wasn't something too "good" for me. I think it's called "Oh God I'm Pregnant" or something ridiculous like that. I posted it in the Teen forum (#5 -?). I'd try it again but I'm still 17 and I don't want to remember that feeling any time soon. "you don't need one of these to let me inside of you" T.A.
