Hey, just an idea (pleeeease somebody try it, lol) ... Try to somehow depict the different aspects of Life, all in one poem (or in a short series of poems), all the different stages and happenings...this is very open to different interpretations, I was just interested in reading what people think about the patterns of Life. Anyways, please take a look and think about it--please post responses in Open. THank you all so much!! Tai |

Life is a circle - a beginning - an end At one, she sat on her potty chair At five, her life was little girl toys At ten, she thought she knew too much At fourteen, she discovered boys. At twenty, she was lost in sin At thirty, creating a new life At forty, work became her aim At fifty, no longer a wife At sixty, she began to fade At seventy, she had thinning hair At eighty, she had little time left And sat in the corner on her potty chair. |

i have a bit o prose that i've been working on for sometime that may fit the ocassion. (if i ever get off me butt to finish it.) i'll post a link. and i think this may inspire a verse.... thanks for the idea! and PDV...that's a great piece you've composed above. a bit of bittersweet. it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown |
