I'm taking a trip down memory lane right now.... Write a poem, of any sort, having to deal with a favorite chilhood cartoon (i.e. Sesame Street, Muppet babies, carebears, smurfs, POPPLES!, you get the idea). Then send it to me as a response....You'll find thinking bout childhood dreams makes you a little happier ~LCBS *Dont forget to include what show it is for those of us who dont know all of them! Exeryone makes mistake, learn from them and move on, because tomorrow we'll make more... |

Where are all my replies....Im hurt.....heres mine All the fun we had Memories of days gone by are everything but bad Memories of childhood of all the fun we've had But one memory sticks out Of my favorite pastime For I love the Television So this is my rhyme Carebears, Fraggles, Rainbow bright Muppets, and Sesame Street I would watch my favorite shows Sitting crosslegged on my feet But my favorite TV show was of little rolly creatures that we would call popples and they came with many features I had a stuffed popple It was purple I think and It went everywhere with me It was my missing link But with age comes maturity which makes me quite sad for I miss my dear popple and all the fun we had Exeryone makes mistake, learn from them and move on, because tomorrow we'll make more... Lisa...I'm glad you brought this thread back to the top. I had missed it before. I love cartoons, so I'll definitely have to see what I can do with this idea. Thanks for the challenge. Hugs, ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |

Oops...forgot to say that I love your poem. Very cute...but who says we have to grow up? LOL I simply refuse! One of my favorite quotes says... "You do not stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing." Unfortunately, I can't remember, right now, who the quote is from...but it's so true. Thanks again for the challenge. Now...I'm off to write of cartoons. Here's my piece. I hope you like it. I remember long ago Flubbadubba Bill and Ben If you mention Sweep and Sooty I'll recall them once again Sorry love you know I'm English? Cartoon lore is not the same But I remember Andy Pandy We sang it as a children's game In childhood dreams I laughed and played Remembering times of way back when I recall the little weed My favourite one from Bill and Ben And last not least there was Noddy With his hat and jingly bell His best friend was known as Big Ears He taught him lots and taught him well. But of all the shows from way back when I remember Bill and Ben Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
