Something like this? Cat Lady writes poems sublime But can never make limericks rhyme Tries hard as she can To make the things scan But fails 'most every time. |

If you want good, clean limericks you should definitely go to the authoritative source. Edward Lear (best known for "The Owl and the Pussycat") was writing limericks back in the 1800's - when "dirty" was liable to get ya lynched! You can find several listed on the Edward Lear page in Passions' Classical section, but there are many, many more... [This message has been edited by Ron (edited 08-04-99).] |
