I replied to this.  It's called "Always in Darkness" and it isn't the cheeriest of poems, but I hope it suffices.  Keep your hopes up and if you need a ride, I'm sure a traveling shooting star will give you a lift.

~*Hi, I'm new to this site, but nevertheless always  up for a challenge... So here goes hope you like it

Gift From A Child

There's something really beautiful about the wonder of a child

Everything's new and exciting they let their imaginations run wild

In a constant quest for answers, whatever they may be

Children see things we will never see

They question things we have taken for granted,

Like the sky, the trees, the grass, the beauty of our planet

If they could only teach us to see things like they do,

I'm sure we'd see a beauty of life that we forgot we knew!

Hi! i am new here name is Raven. I wrote this 4 a friend of mine hope it makes u laugh.

The Real Story of Cinderella

The fairy tale of Cinderella , a story to behold
Often told to little girls for the story is quite old

It reads a tale of sadness, a child’s life of woe
Forced to be a servant to cook ,clean, and to sow

Cinderella roamed her dwelling
dressed in tattered rages
Rejected by her stepmother to whom
never cease to nag

As the Years passed by she  suffered
hardships and great pain
Convinced this would forever be her life
within the dust, the ashes she would
remain

Than one day when walking  a prince and her both met
A ball to choose a wife was had.  Cinderella the prince did choose
A wedding day was set

The story ends as Cinderella
weds than her prince
They both live happily ever after
yet I am not convinced

This my friend is but a Fairy-Tale  and
one each girl clings to like a vine
But I believe a different tale in past occurred
Read Forth

Once upon a Time

Cinderella a woman so very wise knew that to escape she must
Free her life of servitude  leave behind her life of dust
To be , she than must marry, to  become anther’s wife.
Yet in doing so Cinderella knew still a servant
would she be and remain so for all life

Far off with in the Kingdom another battle was
unfolding

A wife you now must take said the King unto his son
Choose a maiden from this kingdom
I decree it now it must be done

There is not one among this kingdom that I
Love with all my heart
Choose not for love but lust my son
To ensure you’ll never ever part
Cinderella
appearing rough around the edges
bore great intelligence with in
A plan she  set in motion to beguile the handsome Prince
She smiled at him coyly and teased him with her grin

The Prince  captivated by her beauty set a date
to marry her post haste
But not for love as the story goes,
lust
was in truth the reason he chose
Fair Cinderella as his mate

upon their night of marriage the Prince
inquired as to why she grinned
what is was she found to be so funny
Oh ‘Tis true my prince you married me for lust
I married not for love instead I wed you  for all the money

Cinderella and her prince both roared with
merry laughter
neither married for that of love
never the less  the two agreed
They would  live happily ever after

I'll do my best.

A smile is made for things that are firsts.

My baby takes his first step
Flowers on my first anniversary
First love

A smile is also made for favorite memories.

Best friend
Visits to see grandparents
Very first pet

But my favorite reason to smile is:

It makes people wonder what your up to.

Not in poetry form but here is something inspiring that I personally like....

This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will.  You can waste it or use it for good.  What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.  When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.  In it's place is something you have left behind ...... make it be something good.

There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self...
