Falling into the Bend of Flight The rain is soft like lace in catch of someone walking, A fold of fabric that makes song and glances across hair. Jeweled slippers leaving fragile step. I hear it now like blue ice cracking, touching the tops of things, falling onto the sweet smell of wet cement. It moves around the wind chimes and nestles on the open leaf. You touch me this way, like a pierce of fine thread sewing drops, little pieces of me together fill a leaf, diaphanous longing touching tender making wonder skin, finally building a drop blossom curtain of feathered lace that is capable of falling into the bend of flight. The way youve been writing of late(always) is gonna get your picture in the dictionary next to exquisite. ... and I don't know why ... |

Martie I can't even begin to pick a favorite line out of this incredibley fine write. When I become a poet I want to write just like you, geez this is, not sure of the word I'm searching for....oh yeah.....PERFECT!! ~~into the treasure chest she quickly tucks it away to be cherished again another day~~ Like a red brick, in a white wall somebodies brush forgot to paint... lonely....(as sung by Tracy Lawrence..) Your words are magic Martie. "I hear it now like blue ice cracking, touching the tops of things, falling onto the sweet smell of wet cement. It moves around the wind chimes and nestles on the open leaf." Just magic, floria Floria |

Fascinating! Wonderful! esp. like the music in: "diaphanous longing touching tender making wonder skin," Thanks for your writing, Martie "Grab a pen, grab some paper, do yourself a little favor." e [This message has been edited by Krawdad (04-27-2002 08:23 PM).] |
