Cinder's Toe Ring (the true story) Clicking your heels won't take you home Monkeys don't fly in the dead of the night And if there really was a yellow brick road it would lead me straight to the house of straw, where the hunter met his end to the wolf, who now wipes his jowls with the little girls hood staining it the color of his feast Mice, are just rodents chewing away on another poem I've tossed to the floor, while I clean up the mess my heart made when it bled all over the pillow that damned fool carried the shoe on ...you know that shoe made of glass The one that shatters your dreams while it slices your toes and the silver ring ....falls to the floor snow ©4/10/02 "Trace my body with your words |

Snow~ What bittersweet imagery to this little piece~ I loved the sardonic twist~ *HUGS* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
