Have you held me in your hands? Underwater snowy sun. Feelings have been drained to numb, cauliflower whitened waves. Calcite foam I call it down to fossilize these moment's curves. A sculptor's map, a living rock below the sky, my crashing shell. And to those itching footprints there, and to the water-softened sand. And to the smooth shell's dying point and our sun's salt-eggy stare. I call it down. |
