She dreams of living in a world wrapped in belong and growing free, a touch of delicate the best a vineyard, where she wants to be. It should be California warm though Burgundy would do as well She wants to watch love grow and thrive, the winery holds magic spells. These vines her metaphor of life they must be nurtured or they die with love, a special gentle touch and just enough of rain tears cry. She dreams and sees the future thus but does the vintner understand? Therein the flaw of perfect dream for after all, he's just a man... |

Sadly powerful and beautiful this is. You use this theme to perfection...and, it's a keeper I'd say that this is one of your best! Take care, Melissa~ "Poetry is not an opinion expressed... |

Love the use of wine and a vineyard as metaphor. One of your best, I think, Sandra. |

Even the owner of such a vineyard has dreams .... each day is a new vine, each bend a new path taken. Its only in our dreams that we see what we expect as the straight and narrow .... only as we would want them to be. Your wine sounds bitter and heavy but your heart still holds true spirit. An excellent piece of thought you have shared. TY [This message has been edited by ctowen (04-22-2002 04:37 PM).] |

Sandra....this is vintage at it's finest. Yes....only a man....just as YOU...only a woman....both making their share of mistakes. May your vines prosper and the wine of your life flow freely.... |

"She dreams and sees the future thus but does the vintner understand? Therein the flaw of perfect dream for after all, he's just a man..." So true, that a man will usually not understand a woman's dreams. But yet, don't women often rely very heavily on men to make them come true. And place their bets on hope? Maybe women need to be active engineers of their own winery, take firm charge and run her own vineyards to make that wine come out perfect. Just let the man do some digging and pruning. Quit depending on magical abilities men may not have, or even know about? Just a thought. ((Sandra)) -newell Sharing God's Love through perfectlovepoetry.com |

Sandra, Ouch! It seems to me...you're too young to give up. I thought good wine took time. Ya' need a new vintner. Excellent metaphor and challenging conclusion. It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo! |
