River Of Dreams

Let’s walk beside the River Of Dreams
Tell me of your thoughts and schemes
Hold my hand as we stroll along
Humming a part of an old love song

Let you and I send our cares away
Enjoy the beauty of this day
See the reflection of love’s face
Shine in the rivers glittering grace

Pause by the bridge to think awhile
Gather the joy, then beam a smile
Feel the peace that in the river flows
Ask the river of the things it knows

The River of Dreams speaks my name
Fills me with love’s tender flame
Within the dream I cede my soul
Offer it to the river to make me whole

Call out to the river, take me home
I’ll stay with you no more to roam
On your calm waters love sails free
Into the waiting arms of you and me
