Reflections The reflection of her heart shines near the waters edge, tranquil and deep She cries for what might have been, as she lets her heart softly sleep Her soul wants one chance at the dream, but her mind knows best So all these foolish notions she lays quietly to rest Maybe if they'd have met in a different time, in a different place She could allow the chance to be touched by an Angel's grace In her heart, she knows she should just let all of this go Secretly her soul cries out though, but in her mind she knows It's time to just move on, and plant her feet back on solid ground Forget this fantasy love her heart has witnessed and found She's ruled many times in these matters with her heart This time though she has to find a way to let her head win, and make a soft depart When the years have passed, and the winds have shifted once more She'll no longer have broken dreams, they'll be restored So she can now fly on, no longer does this Angel need her to protect There's no more left to do here, nothing left to expect Then she looks at the water, and dries the last traces of her tears Knowing that this pain will be over, and they both can move on with the rest of their years She turns around to walk back the way that she came earlier that day All the while knowing that even though her head chooses to leave, her heart will always stay "you can't stop the rain from pouring down can't stop the world from turning 'round can't stop me from loving you no matter what you do" [This message has been edited by Aimster (04-18-2002 10:55 AM).] |

(sigh) Such wonderful reflections fill the mirrors of your heart, sweet friend, yes, may her heart be healed with love and then may her joy forever be reflected every time she stares into the lake with her loves face embroidered beside hers! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Amy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Then she looks at the waters drying the last remain of her tears Knowing that this pain will be over, and they both can move on with the rest of their years Turning around to walk back the way that she came earlier that day She knows even though her head chooses to leave, her heart will always stay ===================================== some things never leave us... somethings we take with us...while leaving traces behind. Beautiful cadence kissed write Amy-girl a lovely retrospective piece. heart-hugs jm how about how good it feels to finally forgive you |
