She had flowers in her yard, peonies and daffodills and orphaned marigolds. Her funeral was on Tuesday last and fourteen people came. They picked some flowers from her yard and put them in a vase; peonies and daffodills and orphaned marigolds. On the plains there came a train, no past to which return, No Father Time on which to lean, No breast from which to wean. Unknown winds forever blow, across her yesteryears, peonies and daffodills, and orphaned marigolds. http://www.ku.edu/carrie/kancoll/articles/orphans/or_hist.htm [This message has been edited by Tim (04-15-2002 11:50 PM).] |

This is lovely and the phrase "orphaned marigolds" touches my heart. My dad used to grow them beautifully. Hugs, Tim. |

I, as you, enjoy the research, even of things not so pleasant, and I try, as you have done, to bring them here for enlightenment... but you do it so much better... |

(sigh) This is soooooo sadly beautiful, sweet friend, your words always bud with such compassion and heart! (big hugggssssss) I agree with Sunshine, you are talented always at creating such depth with acknowledgement of emotions, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tim, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
