Repost Rewrite: Pretend with me I found the Key to Ibsen's plight. Fantasies, of reunite. And I can keep you by my side It's only truth that I would hide. I've dreamed of you in absentee, In dull and dreary ennui. And wish to close that chasm door And fly above that canyons floor. For I would make the shadows true, And In that way perform a coup. And challenge you, to do the same, And meet me in this Ibsen frame. Pretend we are the same of age. Pretend we walk a common stage. Go back to meetings of our last Pretend that time had never pasted. Pretend that this is really true And I will surely be with you. |

If pretend is all one has to do your room would be a flock to view butterflies and moths would come and poets' songs would surely strum what a time, a party, yes pretend is something we do best a better life, why not, we ask? than some boring, plodding task... may I pretend along with you? I like your style, I'd share your view... |

Seymour darling boy this is as always superb writing form you, you use of line rhyme and form is exquisite and I utterly utterly love this. Very very good writing Pretend in thoughts of desire seek In fluttering dreams maybe will peek The possible becomes the hope of true When pretending soul links with you Take the breath of what might be Send it on wings of hearts liberty Into dreams of sunlit fantasy shore To anchor dreams ship once more Perfect as always darling boy you really are an utterly utterly excellent writer Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (04-13-2002 08:59 AM).] |

Pretend dear Sy if you must but soon all will be too real. Hoot at Nan's here we come, the "Real Passions meal deal!" Poets from Passions will delight in hearing your sweet repose. You'll have our attention Sy, as Nan's shore tickles our toes. Yikes! A Hallmark response ~* Sharon *~ |

"... And what does it mean, then to be a poet? It was a long time before I realized that to be a poet means essentially to see, but mark well, to see in such a way that whatever is seen is perceived by the audience just as the poet saw it." Ibsen ~*~ I've dreamed of you in absentee, In dull and dreary ennui. And wish to close that chasm door And fly above that canyons floor. For I would make the shadows true, And In that way perform a coup. Ah! Yes pretend 'tis the beginning, not the end All joy, desire; pleasure ev'rywhere All glows to sense, no evil anywhere. And then, just when 'tis a running in pretend This boy, on fire; his treasure in air Is whole; for my soul knows. She is there. ((Seymour)) -newell As I pretend.
