I Have a Simple Question By Larry Chadwick When I was a little boy, Life was such a blast. But now that I’m a man, It moves way too fast. I tried to think it through, And what it is I’ve lost. I remembered the obvious, And what it finally cost. I’m sure you recall it too, The thing that comes to mind. I should have done it sooner, To do less would be unkind. I’ll just take a chance, And act like I am brave. Or I could stay at home, To work like I’m a slave. I’ll spit it out right now, And say it yet today. It is a simple question, Can you come out to play? April 12, 2002 |

Can we play ring around the rosie too? I'll come out and play with you! skipping jumping getting wet...now you see the scene is set...with roses floating all around...wait can you hear that subtle sound? The sound of pleasure dripping swaying...as we go on with our playing...here to there and there to here...we play on without a fear...but something slowly comes to play...the sprinklers they have gone away...so now the fun has come to an end...of playing with such a lovely friend...until next time my dear sweet friend...will you come and play again? Love ya Cindi |

Duncan, I live by the theory that it is never too late for a good childhood. So...no sadness about these facts here. Don't you just love it. You and me, all the way! Cindi, I had no idea so much fun awaited. What was I thinking? All this time wasted cause I didn't know the right question! Thanks.[This message has been edited by Larry C (04-13-2002 03:41 AM).] |

There is something so sweet and innocent about the sound of the doorbell ringing and seeing a child's face just wanting you to come out and play. This reminded me of playing wagon train where we'd tie all our wagons together and head out down the sidewalk. I also remember having neighborhood parades where we literally marched down the middle of the street! I was the baton twirler up front missing my toss every time. What fun this was to read. I'll meet you at the lemonade stand k??? |

Lori, This all sounds so familiar, except for the baton. LOL How awesome to have such fabulous memories and to have such innocent childhood experiences. Way cool. And thanks. Nancy Lee, Some of my favorite activities for sure. And I've been smitten by girls since the age of five so...LOL I'm in believe me! Thanks. Noah, Okay, but I have to have my Tonka trucks... Thanks. Saunni, LOL You know, I have no depth perception. So you'd whoop my but at basketball! But in the fall we could use the leaves to build the floorplan of a really big house and play. And yes it flies by so very fast, but our time with our children goes even faster. Believe me I know. My oldest is 31! Thanks tons. |

If the sun is shining I can come out today. But, if it's raining, You come in to play. |

Sandra, Just 3 years ago I had a friend that I played table games and would ask his wife if he could come over to play! LOL It's never too late for a good childhood. Nancy Lee, You are assembling the pieces of a puzzle aren't you? I have my own Lincoln Logs and a really cool little wooden train set! Thanks. Kacy, Okay then...can we ride your camel? Huh, can we? Please, can we? I really, really wanna do that, can we? Thanks. Parisgrl, Does that mean we get to play? And thanks. |

This was such fun and sweet memories of youth. But gee.....the little ones down the street still come to my door to see if I will come out an play.....Then again they just want some cookies and juice they get from the kind "OLD" lady down the street. Is 52 considered old lady age? :-) It was a pleasure to read... |

Hello Larry I loved this and could so easily relate. I've always been a big kid and I treasure that so very much. I think we all keep the child within until the very end. Take care......Sue Suetang |

Melissa, Ummm...I'll try to break it to you gently. If it's any clue, I was born in December. Bummer and I was looking forward to playing. But thanks. Keith, You too, eh? And isn't that a song? LOL I don't think I've had the chance to welcome you to Passions. So welcome! And thanks. It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo! |

Well December can be either Saggitarius or Capricorn Saggitarius' are fun and clever. Capricorns are hard workers and very loyal. Both are equally good in my books. Capricorn and my sign go well together. I'm a Virgo, baby! It's a good sign to be, but, then again, sometimes I even give myself a headache hehe "Poetry is not an opinion expressed... |

Melissa, So do nationalities have to be matched up like zodiac signs? LOL This American would like to play with a fun Canadian brunette. But he may be too clever or too much fun for his own good. ROTFL It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo! |

Well, okies, I'll play. Are there any rules? Cause I like to break 'em! Let's play 'dress-up' I'll curl your hair, paint your face with blue eyeshadow, beat red blush and pink lipstick and make you wear a frilly dress Now I feel sorry for my cousin Jason when we were little...that poor kid. Hey now I know why he would yank the limbs off of my ken and barbie dolls...revenge!! Hmpf!
