sometimes remain with meaning hidden until the end. Individuality-- pleated edge of a hand-held fan. becoming-- unrealized... until unfolding of the whole. A plan too cunning for surmise-- reveals philosophy of stone. then and only then is purpose actualized... we must be bent to capture wind-- mimicking the grace of sky. creased in folds bent in molds in lines of pleat river creeks in boast of gold veins that toast prosperity within our fingers we grasp peace and try to catch eternity. (as if we ever had a choice) I'm sure if paper had a voice, we'd hear protest of life's crimping-- drowning choir of angel's sing. unaware scissored into transformation-- we would hear a paper's sigh with ink of lamentation... in fear of love-- rebuking our salvation. "A thing becoming-- unrealized... until unfolding of the whole. A plan too cunning for surmise-- reveals philosophy of stone." Yep! You one smart cookie Celeste! What's wrong with being a little mellow and accepting later in life? Kinda nice ain't it? |

I'm sure if paper had a voice, we'd hear protest of life's crimping-- drowning choir of angel's sing. Just like people unaware scissored into transformation-- we would hear a paper's sigh with ink of lamentation... =================================== stoned on poetry you do know how cool this is right? the paper metaphor and analogy is brilliant..you took it to extended metaphor and played its theme to poetic perfection. Individuality-- pleated edge of a hand-held fan. how cool is that!! Scissors, rock, paper...yeah...I get it oh and paper does sigh..poetry allows it to breathe...and I DO INHALE YOU ROCK me twin When man is lead to arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations |

if paper had a voice, we'd hear protest of life's crimping-- drowning choir of angel's sing. I often wonder if inanimate objects can feel and think....this poem really provoked my thoughts on the subject again... A great write, Karen. ~ philosophical hugs Lyra |

funny, this--is what catches my own eye...sigh of sighs... "Creation... then and only then is purpose actualized... we must be bent to capture wind-- mimicking the grace of sky." but? I exit--gladly that so many take a disparity of me-- I think I LIKE that! YER LOVELY, all.. (serenity exits, doing the 'soft-shoe'...) |
