There is not enough room
in your heart, so you file them

together--suffocated
and speechless

in journals you name
after dead people.

Your father tells you that
even duct-tape secures

petty things, like booboos,
and holes in your knees.

I want to say
these are not small blue grievings.

That they are sky large rains
and too wet to be stable.

Not to mimic Barry in any way ... but what he said!

What Nancy, et al, said
I truly enjoyed this piece.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This strikes a chord. Not sure in whether that's in a good way or bad.  Regardless, but I like it.
