Have You Ever
The Day From Hell

Have you ever had the day from hell?
When everything you do doesn’t go well
Nothing you do seems to end up right
As you plunge deeper into chaos fright
The toast is burnt and you’re running late
Then you snag your tights on the garden gate
The bus you ran for leaves you behind
And no matter where no peace can you find

Have you ever had a day of woe?
Where everything lacks it’s own measured flow
Nothing seems to stop the flow of pain
And you wish you could start the day again
There’s no sign that the day will improve
When the traffic in front simply won’t move
You fume and fuss as the day speeds by
And all you can do is wearily sigh

Have you ever had a day of grief?
When the lawyer you face loses his brief
Nothing is worse that a lawyer’s bait
Under the questions you sigh it’s my fate
To have a day of such wretched luck
In the day from hell you are surely stuck
Now there’s only one thing you can do
Just pray that somehow someway you’ll get through

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

YES!  Have I?   Certainly, but they always
seem to go away...eventually...

Just like your own will too....

Give me the bacon
Turn on the heat
For Mushy is takin'
it on her two feet

The troubles tho' many
that stack and grow
are never too many
so...get up and go!

"put on my coat
and grabbed my hat
made the bus in seconds flat"

sounds like a day in the life
very nice

any day you have to talk to a lawyer
is a bummer

Can I just ditto Toe? *G* This sounds like my usual day... complete with lawyers. *G* Of course, I work for them... but that just makes their losing things somehow my fault. *G*

I enjoyed this very much... hope your day gets better! *S*

Oh these valleys and peaks of life can be frustrating and disheartening....But hell or not we write it out of mind onto the page then we kick it around!  That's needed..... You'll be fine love!

(sigh) As Van Morrison says, "My momma told me there'd be days like this!"! (big hugggsssss) I believe we all have bad days, for I have had so many too but we must always measure the good days and those that make us happy and have them outnumber those duds! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Marsha...this is a cute poem about how real life can be...
but what you have to do on days like these, is to go back into your bed for a few minutes and then roll out of the other side...
because on days like these, you have probably gotten up on the wrong side of the bed.

A little late on this, but "Yes", I've been having a string of these kinds of days lately.  I sympathize emphatically!!!

Just remember "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"...  Don't know who first said it, but it's kept me going thru this awful move from one apartment to another.  Which I will write a poem about when I get unpacked.

Keep yer chin up - hope whatever it was that triggered this poem has now moved out of your life, and that things have smooooooooothed out a bit.

Cheers!!

Sheila

Yes there are days when I get on the road and almost immediately it becomes obvious to me that I have gotten behind either the worst or the stupidist drivers in this city...thats when I wish I could go back to bed and start the day all over again...James
