Best of luck to you, Kellie! I'm not a teacher, so I can't really give any advice, but I'm sure you'll do just fine. God bless America, my home sweet home. |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kellie, this is wonderful, I am not a teacher either but I'd be happy to help you out! I know Ginger will always be sooooooo proud of you and I know you will make a wonderful teacher, just always follow your heart and follow her examples and you will bring sunsine to every students day! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much, I know Larry is sooooo excited to hear of your dreams as I know he knows you will be a success! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kellie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

I used to be a teacher, Kellie...but that was a very long time ago....when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, and no one had computers. I'm sure that things are very different today....but one thing I can tell you that will never change is that the best teachers treat each student as an individual, and know all of their little quirks.....I always thought that was the best and most fun part of teaching. Another good thing I learned, was to always make your students feel like they are smart...if you do that....they will be smart. Kids always live up...or down to our expectations of them. I taught early elementary school, back in the sixties..... I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did back then. ~ hugs to a future teacher Lyra |

Kellie, I love your poem. You know how to make my day. Lyra lied. That was a post dinasour era! And as for teaching those grades...she gave great advice. I would add, don't ever forget your own childhood and like Ginger you know the power of a positive attitude on kids and and being real. The secret of being a great teacher? (I heard this from a very good source) is just this bit of advice: "Remain a constant student." Smiles to you, with gratitude...you have touched my heart. I thank you. |

This is a beautiful poem. I think you will make a great teacher. Sounds to me like you had the best example of what it takes to be a wonderful teacher. |

School Teacher Blues Toerag's standing at the urinal, He'a peeing on the wall If he hits the radiator We'll smell it in the hall School Teacher Blues You'll have them School teacher blues School teacher blues, Nuthin' to lose but your pain, And that ain't nuthin.. Yanno Toerag can't read but what does Toerag need to know, Look at the competition It's the age of video Athletes, Politicians, Jet sets snort cocaine, All you'll snort is chalk dust It's blowing out your brain... A noble education, Tired of mediocrity, Point your finger to the home And you'll view hypocrisy! Good luck with your teaching endeavors....get on your hands and knees and give thanks to God you never had me in one of your classes.....nice write [This message has been edited by Toerag (06-07-2002 08:15 AM).] |
