It’s in the quiet hours just before waking
The thoughts of the day collect
And how I love to spend them
Planning the things not yet

I try to awake before sunrise
Has broken over the sky
And spend those few moments reflecting
What the day brings and why

I’ve heard of it called as the gloaming
Yet a name I have never put on
This moment I spend not yet dreaming
Yet dreaming is still carried on

How I wish I could hold on to this moment
And carry it throughout the day
When possibilities are endless
And time has not yet passed away

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

This is great.  I too, love those quiet, peaceful moments in the morning.

This is very beautiful, Michelle....I can just picture how peaceful it must look...
I haven't done mornings in a long time, but this reminds me of the feeling I get just before sunset.  I posted a poem here, a while back called shadows...its about that hour just before sunset...I can't remember which forum its in...I think 19 or possibly 18.

Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.
