In a world of competition I sit unmotivated Always asking for permission Fearing how I am graded Then they say that self worth starts in your own expectations All my life I have been satisfying those of the nation It makes no sense to regulate the masses to higher learning All it does is water down the worth of paper we’re earning So many kids are filing through another ‘merican business They just take their piece of paper Don’t ask why the hell is this Necessary to make money in the modern day world A little more for all the boys a little less for the girls But we all think more is better Its a happier life Got to raise up a family Got to impress a wife We go on dates And to relate We wonder what are your dreams? A question already answered Upon all our TV screens MTV cribs Fancy cars And nearly half of them driven Jesus Christ? No, its the US dollar that’s risen To the forefront of a nation where we march on like ants Only checked by unheard voices and Dennis miller rants Well I for one keep marching in this capital scene There is no choice when you live draped in the Red, White, Blue, and Green |

Interesting write. The green has become much too important. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |
