Listening to every heart

June 1, 1870

From the Soddy Journal

Spring lies on the cusp of summer,
morn breaks well though tepid air surrounds
and Breeze, Breeze plays gaily,

calling, “come dance with me,”
and shall tease the children.

He stands there, by lone cottonwood tree
where redwings sing to him,
as if counting seed on each head of grass
or is his head bowed low in prayer…

we’ve so much to be thankful for…

we’ve so much to do…

but Breeze takes away my breath
the horizon is pearl with light,
befitting a June dawn…
sweet comes hint of rose, apt greeter
of the day…

in my coming to terms, I know,
all that can break me
remains in my ignorance, if I may
but have one blissful
morning

under his hand.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, this is the most perfect poem to fit the magic of this first of June! (kiss on cheek) The magic of summer is on the horizon and I am so blessed to feel it, sweet friend, this poem is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

Ah the beautiful poetic musings of a love dreamer

This is pure poetic beauty.........
"but Breeze takes away my breath
the horizon is pearl with light,
                befitting a June dawn…
sweet comes hint of rose, apt greeter
                of the day…"
written like the seasoned poet you truly are!
I don't know exactly what you do all day but it must be ideal!

Well I have to go before the horizon gets ebony without light!
Ta ta for now!

These historical poems of yours are truly amazing. Love the final lines to this. Well done!
I may not reply often here on Passions anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't read

I feel as though I were standing there
next to that Cottonwood....head bowed,
hair blowing around a hat, stained with
sweat of the fields...

So many things to do...so few to do it...

God give me the strength...
Beautiful words KJ....you have a way of
reaching into me with your words that
so easily paint the picture...
