Consumption The tarry warmth of covers spread Wrapped about me reposed in bed. While dreaming naked trails of dare And running rampant still, butt bare. It’s often that I travel thus Deep within this omnibus That brings about a twitch a turn Unconscious of the things I yearn. Surprised or not they are my lot It’s been this way, since I was tot I rarely dream the dreams I would Although I try and wish I could. I never know the dreams I find For some of them are most unkind And wake me in a worried sweat That takes me time to sort and set. But I’ve learned clues about neaps reap And what to eat before you sleep |

Sy, lol, you got me with the last line, it was so clever. Now I know why people can die from consumption. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Seymour darling boy this is as always perfect, the flow the rhyme the pace absolutely excellent. You definitely caught me with the title and the last line I am very impressed, but then you are a very impressive writer who always leaves a mark on me. I ought to be Green with jealousy. However how can I be jealous of this it is utterly wonderful. You really are a writer pas extrodinaire And you know I love this don’t you? MMmmm I do it’s delicious, eating this before bedtime would give me beautiful dreams As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (04-12-2002 09:34 AM).] |

I'll take the blankest book I've got write down what me ate, and then when dreamscape shows me what is wrought I'll eat some more, and dream again... only you, Sy...only you... |

Surprised or not they are my lot It's been this way, since I was tot I rarely dream the dreams I would Although I try and wish I could. ================================== It dont get any cooler than that first verse this tasty tease in please of dreamer's curse The secret to dreaming is what one eats before bed? Not the wishes and wantings that scheme in our head? To tune my dreams of swoon in sleep's cocoon ... All I need is to eat thy rhymes with a spoon. ~~ *winkiewinkie* |

Seymour, That's neat. I never dream anything sensible at all. But I never eat anything sensible at all, so that explains it, I guess. Nan |
