we went to step down place
where we didn't need shoe feet
we knew the sand warm songs
and our fingers made one hand
when they were together

the tall trees held shapes
we stood in their shadows
and touched with our eyes
our lips whispered quiet noise
like skin touching edges of breaths

sky colors were our ocean then
when we played in cloud pools
and let the blue dye our skin
and make us invisible to the eyes
of the wish watchers that dream

you wrote a poem for me
and left it under my pillow
I slept on your belly skin soft
and read the words there
I read them aloud and you laughed

at how many times I repeated them

Sooo I get to sneak in here late and have the advantage of bumping this back to the top.. This stanza makes me see the invisible thoughts you weave into the mind..a beautiful..blend..of dreams and skin..Love this!

I do hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Sincerely,
Reg
