For the want of some love, the spirit was lost
Too timid to try to bear the cost
In case on the scrap heap, they were tossed
All for the want of some love

For the want of some care, true courage died
Each day all alone they sat and cried
Wanting and yearning and hollow inside
All for the want of some care

For the want of hope's word a lost soul burned
Crying inside as the world slowly turned
Nothing was gained and nothing was learned
All for the want of a word

For the want of some peace, pride was gone
But brokenness lived on and on
They lived for the dark when they could have shone
All for the want of some peace

For the want of a spark their lives were cold
Living in barrenness, sad and old
No one could hear the stories they told
All for the want of a spark

For the want of a life, they died in vain
Watching and waiting in deep disdain
Seeing the trip, never boarding the train
All for the want of a life.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

This reminds me of a tale I learned as a child... how a kingdom was lost because one nail slipped from one horse's shoe. *S* Little things do matter in profound ways... and your poem portrays that so very well. *S* I like this very much, Kethry... it's going into my library to enjoy often. *S*

Keth beloved sister of my soul and bringer of wisdom’s grace, this is so full of your wisest choicest phrases, your mind set on finding the reason behind the mystery. I’ve always loved that poem for want of a horse shoe nail and this makes it sooooooooo much clearer, so much less history more in the moment.

Your writing is always immeasurably superior, and I shouldn’t still be amazed at the perfect form the adherence to structure without sacrificing content and your uncanny ability to write the thoughts that my soul needs to breath in. Yet I constantly am, simply because I find it next to impossible to think your writing can continue getting better and better. And of course it does.

Beautifully written darling heart absolutely beautiful. I love it utterly utterly, it like you simply shines

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

suthern, we must share thoughts as I was thinking of that poem when I began, As you can see I got a little sidetracked though. *HuGS*

Marsha beloved if you keep writing such words of praise I will have to take a separate plane to fit my head on

You are a magnificent writer Kethry~
I liked your reference to the train at the end...a ticket to ride passing by~
The view isn't always a pretty one!

Thank you muchly for this~

Keth
You've got a powerful intense piece written here. The subject of reality is governed by your exclaim of life in it's abject reflections off your author's pen!
Superb context so well presented!
