This is what happens when you're getting old..... - written for Nan's class I wanted to write a poem for thee a funny thing that happened to me but just can't name the object involved sitting here, my problem unsolved I'm roaming brain, I'm roaming mind The object's name I just can't find I mean I need it in Dutch you see before exploring the dictionary I'm getting old I think I am Can't think of objects name here, damn I walked downstairs and picked it up I'm staring at this look-a-like cup My mind is blank, my muse is too Geez, need it's name, I really do How will I be able to tell you a story When I can't think of the object's name... Potverdorie (Dutch curse!) A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |

Titia, you most certainly are not getting old! It is just difficult for you to change an object into another language. Some things cannot be changed at all right? I enjoyed this....and also learned a new word in Dutch! LOL "Potverdorie" ~Hugs~ |

Potverie, goodness Titia, don't give up! Is this object something like a china tea cup? A coffee mug keeps coffee from getting cold, So is this a riddle?, 'cause your're not getting old? Tita darling girl this is an excellent poem as always you write extremely well. As for old you certainly aren’t, you are eternally young. You know I love your playful rhymes they make me smile with glee.
