This is what happens when you're getting old..... - written for Nan's class

I wanted to write a poem for thee
a funny thing that happened to me
but just can't name the object involved
sitting here, my problem unsolved

I'm roaming brain, I'm roaming mind
The object's name I just can't find
I mean I need it in Dutch you see
before exploring the dictionary

I'm getting old I think I am
Can't think of objects name here, damn
I walked downstairs and picked it up
I'm staring at this look-a-like cup

My mind is blank, my muse is too
Geez, need it's name, I really do
How will I be able to tell you a story
When I can't think of the object's name...

Potverdorie (Dutch curse!)

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Titia, you are never alone, sweet friend, I forget objects names a lot of times and I think everyone has this feeling every now and then, it is natural! (kiss on cheek) You will always be young at  heart and rich in love, sweet friend, you are a true delight to us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Titia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Titia, you most certainly are not getting old!
It is just difficult for you to change
an object into another language.
Some things cannot be changed at all right?
I enjoyed this....and also learned a new word in Dutch! LOL

Trust me, getting old happens
to the best of us, unless we
just ignore it...

then they call it something else,
but I forget...

Potverie, goodness Titia, don't give up!
Is this object something like a china tea cup?
A coffee mug keeps coffee from getting cold,
So is this a riddle?, 'cause your're not getting old?

Very cute Titia, you could turn this into a riddle, as now I am dying to know what this is too.

But...but...Titia, a tea cup doesn't even look like a funnel!!??
Unless you were going to pour the tea down the funnel....
Oh now you have me all up-mixed!

LOL, now I want a poem about a funnel. Well done, Titia. And you are just the right age.

He he well of course it isn't a teacup!!

It's a funnel looking like a cup

So now I'm ready to write down the story and when you read it, don't laugh too loud.

You aren't too old to write a cute poem about it anyway, Titia....

I hate those "senior moments"...we all have them.  But remember, getting old isn't all bad....just think of the alternative!

Tita darling girl this is an excellent poem as always you write extremely well. As for old you certainly aren’t, you are eternally young. You know I love your playful rhymes they make me smile with glee.

Absolutely perfect form in this one darling heart, I shall expect some great writing from you in September, Ssshhh special treat Margie girl is doing a Masterclass

There’s no getting away with it Margie girl, I know we will all revel in that

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
