Feel of me this man and soul as lightning claps of thunder’s roll
to stormy night of winds in veer as rains of sheet drenching shear
Lone helm is lashed in wayward course into the gale of waves recourse
where men of sail in trembling fright steer a path in darkness light

Avast the heave of sails in shred against the seas of gray in dread
to morn the crash of waves in toss shall cast to graves of wat’ry lost
When ‘pon the break of day in light the land unseen shall be in sight
and whence the plank does fall at rail the last of souls shall furl the sail.

When men in ships do sail the sea in search of land and destiny
the lives of souls become of grave in fight of sail and merciless wave
For sails in bellow catch the wind and set to sea the ships in send
till stars in dark naught guide at night and dusk returns red sun of light

A ghost ship...
I know!
I came,
I read,
I saw...

Magnus darling boy this is utterly utterly wonderful. The feel of the sea spray the taste of the salt on my lips and you steering the ship across oceans of dreams onto morning sunrises that paint the sky in honeyed pinks and glittering gold’s. What more could I ask for darling boy? Nothing this is utterly perfect and of course I utterly utterly love it. As ever you thread the day with beads of wonder and leave it lying there for me to find.

I wanted to reply to this last night but I ran out of time, I had a couple of daughters who are clogging up my computer time, now if some people No names no pack drill would STOP encouraging them I might be able to write the replies. MMmmmm!

Oh treachery your name is Magnus, but I’ll forgive you darling, all you have to do is read me………
Thank you my dearest friend

Walking the plank again? I really like this one, Barry. I heard creaking ships, and felt a ghostly wind on my face.

I admit to have taken a liking to your poetry in the time I've been reading...I quite enjoyed this one also.
