What Wonders Our Eyes Can See |

I want to walk through a garden with grass at my feet- And listen to the wind and again feel complete. I want to be myself again, and not hide from anyone- To let them know from me and my heart, that what is done is done. I want the wind to whisk me away from my imagination- To send me on my way, breathless with its admiration. I want to see the world again and know that I belong; So, that I can open my eyes to see God has been here all along. I want to write of the pictures that I can not paint- For then, all my passions would be taken without restraint. I want to be that girl that nobody can see, for just one day; Then maybe I would pay attention when that girl passes my way. I want to hold the ones I've lost, and say my last goodbye; Then try and figure out on my own, why God chose them to die. I want to tell my secrets to the world, then see who would still be at my side; So then maybe, just maybe I wont have to hide these tears I've cried. I want to be more than a Juliet; I want to find the Romeo that is mine- Whose heart is his own, and whose eyes are truly divine. I want to watch the sun rise every morning without haste; So, that every morning I will remember that life was not meant to waste. I want my fate to be the one thing that no one will forget; Then I could wish upon a star with my destiny already set. I wish that I could take one piece of myself, for you here today, For you to keep, for you to remember,that this is the me I portray. The strands in your eyes |
