There is a haunting stillness hanging in the air this magic night broken only by the soulful rhythm of tiny wavelets on the sand and the faintest, muted whisper of a barely present breeze. Above, the moon drifts lazily in the endless, darkened sky, turning tides upon the shore on the sand under my feet; casting spells where e’re it shines, and bewitching lovers in the night. It tugs upon the heartstrings and beckons all to follow across a path of glimmering silver lain out upon a sapphire pool, as coyly it entices wispy clouds into a game of hard to get. Like a siren drawing sailors in it plays a romantic song strummed on strings of gossamer that are laced upon my heart, and fills the air with mystery on this enchanted night. Poetry is an expression of feelings. I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves. |

You are under the same moon spells I am! What an enchanting poem. Thanks. "lain out upon a sapphire pool, as coyly it entices wispy clouds into a game of hard to get." I especially liked that line. Enjoy the night! |

If I could describe the moon as you do... I would no longer need to write of anything else... This is fantastically shown through your words... |
